Near the court area one can also find the police parade ground, police training camp and police district headquarters.Thane's Municipal Corporation is the governing body under which the democratically elected members like mayor, public servants and police come under. Members from political parties such as Nationalist Congress Party, Shiv Sena, Bhartiya Janta Party have their officials running and holding selected offices.
